Job Description
Reporting to the Group MLRO & Global Head of Anti Financial Crime you will be part of the Anti Money Laundering - Corporate team who ensure we meet both our regulatory Anti-Financial Crime ("AFC") obligations in the countries we operate in and as a leading gambling operator, to act as a gatekeeper for safer betting and gaming with responsibilities in keeping financial crime out of gambling remains a critical objective.
To meet this, we have established an AFC programme which ensures FinCrime Risks are managed across the group. The Programme establishes and develops, via policies, procedures, protocols and associated guidance, the criteria, key processes (including training, risk assessments, monitoring and assurance), roles and responsibilities and governance associated with FinCrime risks, including AML/CFT, sanctions and KYC / CDD / EDD.
This role is key to ensuring that Entain complies with its legal and regulatory AFC obligations and any related licence conditions in the UK, Ireland and Jersey ("the region"). The role is crucial to Entain's objective of maintaining and enhancing its reputation as a leading operator in providing a crime-free environment for its customers and in keeping crime out of gambling.
This individual will oversee the entire AFC framework for the UK, Ireland and Jersey and will help to set, implement and monitor related policies and procedures. The individual will:
- Be a key member of the AFC Leadership Team
- Represent AFC at all relevant UK Compliance Committees
- Represent the Group with external stakeholders and at conferences
- Be the established point of contact for senior management for all AFC related matters in the UK
- Champion an AFC culture across the Governance the business and the wider group
- Be required to hold and comply with the terms of a UK Personal Management Licence
Qualifications
- Relevant AML professional qualification.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of UK AFC laws and regulations and related LCCP and industry guidance.
- A strong understanding of AFC related processes and procedures applicable to the gambling industry.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the gambling industry.
- Ability to deal with confidential and/or sensitive issues and information.
- Experience of directing initiatives and programmes - working with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- A good understanding of Social Responsibility regulatory requirements.
- Experience of managing others, superiors and subordinates, both directly and indirectly.
- Good track record in relation to effective communication including an ability to influence effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- The ability to analyse data effectively.
- Good presentation skills.
- Minimum supervision required.
- Commercial in their approach, understanding the impact of regulatory change on the operational activities of the business; and
- Excellent communication skills including ability to negotiate solutions.
