What you’ll be doing:

Coordination of all Climatic Chamber Maintenance and Repair work at Environmental Test Facilities Site

Support the lifecycle management of the Climatic assets, including replacement planning
-
Handle refrigerants safely including recovery, recycling and recharging systems in compliance with F-Gas and industry regulations
-
Responsible for carrying out various Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Maintenance tasks to help support the site maintenance plan
-
Delivery of Climatic Chamber planned and preventative maintenance & calibration
-
Ordering of spares to support continued operation of Climatic Chamber equipment in line with the schedule and planned activity

Ensure compliance with UKAS 17025 (2017) calibration of chambers
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
-
Experience in a relevant engineering field post formal training
-
Experience in a mechanical /electrical / civils and or evaluation environment or related discipline
-
Ability to organize and manage all aspects of Climatic Chambers maintenance tasks and work under pressure to tight deadlines
Desirable:
-
Ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data from drawing/site plans /record systems
-
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
-
Recognised Qualification in refrigeration Engineering (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) and F-Gas category 1 certification (training will be available)

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a professional team supporting BAE Systems, here you will support operational efficiency by maintaining the heating and cooling equipment critical to business processes. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will involve collaborating with the Site Engineering and Trials Delivery Teams and supporting operational efficiency by maintaining the heating and cooling equipment critical to business processes.
As a crucial part of the business, this dynamic role within the Facilities Team provides support to a variety of programmes operating within a close-knit collaborative team at the expansive 430-acre Bishopton Site.
