As Redevelopment Digital Manager, you will lead the Trust's Redevelopment Programme Digital Strategy, ensuring our vision of digitally enabled, fully integrated buildings becomes a reality.
You will collaborate with ICT, Healthcare Planning, and strategic IT partners to embed advanced digital solutions into building design, workflows, and patient pathways. Responsibilities include setting design principles, developing enterprise architecture, horizon scanning for global best practices, and managing IT services during reconfiguration. You'll advocate for service and business improvement, ensuring that technology design aligns with operational models and supports innovative ways of working.
Your expertise will guide the integration of digital solutions into commissioning, post-occupancy evaluations, and ongoing support. Representing IT at key boards, you will ensure seamless alignment with the Trust's broader IT strategy.

Main duties of the job
As Redevelopment Digital Manager, you will lead the Trust's Digital Strategy for the Redevelopment Programme, ensuring our new buildings are digitally enabled and seamlessly integrated with the IT strategy. You will collaborate with the ICT Team to define design principles and ensure digital solutions improve staff workflows, patient experiences, and operational efficiency.
Your role involves working with the Healthcare Planning Team to transform clinical pathways and ways of working, leveraging opportunities provided by new hospital designs. You will develop enterprise architecture that aligns with the IM&T strategy, supports strategic goals, and reflects best practices from horizon scanning of global innovations.
You will manage plans to maintain IT services in residual buildings during reconfiguration and engage vendors and partners to ensure robust digital solutions are embedded in design, construction, commissioning, and post-occupancy evaluations.
Representing IT on Programme and Project Boards, you will ensure full integration with the wider IT agenda, identifying and managing risks, issues, and actions, and maintaining transparent reporting. You will also oversee the digital aspects of building systems and ensure compliance, efficiency, and alignment with target operating models, driving service improvement through innovative digital transformation.

Education/ Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Masters level qualification in a technology or computer science discipline; or equivalent experience
- Qualified Prince 2 Foundation
- Ongoing self-led programme of continuous personal development
Desirable criteria
- Management qualification
- Prince 2 qualified or training for qualification.
- Knowledge of IT architecture frameworks
- Professionally recognised IM&T qualification (Cisco, Microsoft etc)
- TOGAF certified
Experience
Essential criteria
- Minimum 5 years design and implementation experience in a senior level IT architecture, digital health and/or IT infrastructure role
- Demonstrable success in a minimum of two of the following disciplines: IT infrastructure, applied mobile technologies, digital health, medical equipment technology, network and telephony design, virtualisation (end user compute/server side), smart buildings
- Experience of major system procurement
- Policy review, development and implementation
- Expert in the development and management of service level agreements, commercial contracts and account management
- Leading an IT Transformation agenda/project
- Experience managing large scale highly complex and highly sensitive programmes and projects that require significant clinical and executive engagement for success
- Experience managing Capital and revenue budgets over £1m
- Researching, analysing and presenting information to Executives and Board members
- Successfully managing a diverse team
Desirable criteria
- NHS / public sector experience
- Experience of IT infrastructure building projects through design, procurement, fit out and live phases
- Experience working with senior clinicians
- Experience working with architectural design professionals
