Recovery Support Volunteer
This job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.
Overview
Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience for the people we support. You can make a difference.
As a Recovery Support Volunteer with Change Grow Live you'll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be.
Responsibilities
With this role you'll be working as part of the Core team, based in Burnley.
The team supports people with their or their loved ones' drug and/or alcohol issues.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.
You will be fully trained to support with triage/assessment, 1-2-1 sessions, group work and our case management system. You will need to be open and flexible in your approach.
We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, and have someone on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance. In return for the time you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You'll be making a real difference too.
Training:
You will need to be available for the following dates for training. This will be face to face and you will be required to attend one session for each topic:
