Overview
Would you like to join our growing team of volunteers, and make a real difference? We are seeking Recovery Support Volunteers within the North West Recovery team.
Volunteers make an enormous contribution to our work at Change Grow Live.
Last year over 1400 volunteers donated over a quarter of million hours of their time to our organisation.
Responsibilities
With this role you'll be working as part of the North West Recovery service team, based in Craigroyston health centre.
The team supports people with their drug and/or alcohol issues.
No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.
We will support you in this volunteering role by ensuring that you receive regular supervision, and have someone on site who you can approach for day-to-day advice and guidance. In return for the time you give you will receive valuable training and gain experience and skills. You'll be making a real difference too.
A service user commented:
"I work with a volunteer befriender who has supported me to do things that I would not have had the confidence to do on my own".
