Recoveries Manager

Kennedys is seeking a skilled and motivated Recoveries Manager to become a key member of our growing Property, Energy and Construction practice. Based in our Manchester office, this role focuses on managing a varied caseload of property damage recovery claims from initial instruction through to successful resolution.

We're looking for an individual with proven experience in handling property damage claims and a strong track record of delivering results. In addition to managing files, the successful candidate will play a supervisory role, supporting and mentoring junior colleagues to ensure high-quality service delivery and professional growth.

Team

We specialise in handling a wide range of complex insurance claims across property, energy and construction-supporting insurers and reinsurers of major multinational clients with significant international exposures.

Our team is trusted to provide strategic coverage advice and to defend high-value, technically challenging claims that often span multiple jurisdictions. With our commercial insight, industry knowledge and international reach, we help clients navigate risk and resolve disputes efficiently and effectively-no matter the complexity or scale.

Required experience

  • Property damage recoveries experience in a similar role/law firm*
  • Experience of handling recoveries pre and post litigation.
  • Strong organisational skills including the provision of management information and compliance with client processes
  • Strong technical skills and ability to formulate case strategies.
  • To be proactive and take initiative
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written alongside attention to detail.
  • Supervision experience
