Overview
We are looking for a Reconciliations Manager to join us in our stunning City Centre office in Leeds. Your role will be to provide oversight to the Non-Regulated and Exempt Reconciliations teams within MUFG Corporate Markets, a member of MUFG Pension & Market Services. You will work closely with our Regulated Reconciliations Manager to provide guidance and oversight on a day-to-day basis, ensuring all required reconciliations and ancillary tasks are carried out and cleared across all teams.

What you need:
As with any role, we want to find the right person and we want to make sure you know it's the right role for you too. This means you'll need the following skills:
Essential:
• Demonstrable knowledge of the control and reconciliation of accounts
• A strong understanding and knowledge of the relevant FCA regulations and escalation process
• Demonstrable experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Understanding and experience of banking technology and desk top applications
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to face off to colleagues within business areas
• Strong knowledge in Excel, Word & Outlook
• IOC or ICSA qualification (or a willingness to reach required stage within two years of employment)

Desirable:
• FCA experience and awareness
• Prior knowledge of "Accurate"
• Customer Service experience
• Regulated business experience

Day to Day responsibilities:
• Assume overall control of the Reconciliations team to ensure that team has resource infrastructure to support the current and future demands of the team
• Ensure the provision and maintenance of high-quality Management Information to identify key trends and issues
• Ensure regular reviews of all KPI and KRI metrics
• Provide analysis and plans on how to address any identified trends
• Ensure controls are in place within the team to adhere to reconciliation processes end to end
• Ensure the Reconciliations teams are fully compliant with all internal policies and requirements of external bodies such as the FCA, with timely provision of information to compliance where requested
• Conduct regular team meetings and staff 1-2-1's occur
• Ensure a good working relationship is maintained with other departments within the Company
• Provide appropriate direction during all internal and external audits
• Ensure the timely review and closing of any and all internal, external and compliance audit points
• Be responsible for all timely escalations
Reconciliations
• Ensure that bank and stock accounts are managed and reconciled on a regular basis
• Ensure the Internal Reconciliations are performed to a satisfactory level on a daily basis and that reconciliation breaks are advised to the business and are cleared without delay at a level acceptable to the Risk Committee
• Work with the business areas to propose and implement operational improvements to prevent reconciliation breaks from occurring
• Ensure that all regulatory CASS requirements are met (e.g. internal & external reconciliations, break resolution, funding shortfalls etc.)
