We now have an exciting opportunity for a Reception Manager to join Aparthotel Birmingham

As a Reception Manager you will be required to master the art of versatility and inject some energy whilst completing a variety of duties. The main duties expected within the role are:

  1. Guest Services:
    • Oversee all front desk operations, ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and efficient service.
    • Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly, aiming to resolve issues to guests' satisfaction.
    • Ensure all guest requests and inquiries are addressed promptly and professionally.
  2. Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate, performance Review and Appraisal of reception staff.
    • Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, expectations, and provide training.
  3. Operational Duties:
    • Manage the check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Do Five Shifts a week at the Reception Desk.
    • Oversee the handling of reservations, room assignments, and billing.
    • Ensure the front desk area is tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  4. Communication:
    • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and address guest needs.
    • Maintain clear and open communication with the Hotel General Manager regarding guest feedback, staff performance, and any operational issues.
  5. Financial Responsibilities:
    • Monitor and manage front desk expenditures, including supplies and equipment.
    • Ensure all financial transactions are processed accurately, including guest payments and daily cash handling.
  6. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards, including health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of incidents and ensure proper reporting to the appropriate authorities.
  7. Technology and Systems:
    • Utilize hotel management software to manage reservations, guest information, and billing.
    • Ensure all front desk staff are proficient in using hotel management systems and software.
