The role

As a Real Estate Senior Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in our dynamic team. You'll work on complex commercial development matters and strategic land developments within a wide range of sectors that include retails parks, commercial/ mixed use schemes, logistics/ industrial warehousing and strategic residential land assembly.

The team

Joining our vibrant team in Birmingham, you'll collaborate with three Partners to deliver an excellent level of service to our impressive client list.

Our national Real Estate team has an outstanding reputation for its technical and commercial expertise across all disciplines, including commercial development, commercial investment, mixed-use development, landlord and tenant, retail and leisure, finance and securitisation, real estate litigation, planning and environmental.

It also works hand in glove with our non-legal property businesses Gateley Capitus, Gateley Hamer, Gateley Vinden, Gateley Smither Purslow and Gateley RJA which give us a unique market advantage with property investment and development clients. The Team is friendly, supportive, and sociable and you can expect to be supported by the partners and senior team members and in turn asked to support junior members of the team.

The person

We seek an Associate with circa 3 to 6 years of post-qualification experience. While experience working with housebuilder clients is advantageous, we also welcome applications from skilled commercial development lawyers who want to specialise in residential work.

Key Attributes:

  • Experience: You'll have 5 to 10 years' PQE as a commercial Real Estate Solicitor with significant exposure to development matters.
