Job Title: Radar Safety Engineer

Salary: £47,683+ dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- You will support the resolution of Safety related issues on Typhoon Radar
- This role will require you to review Safety assessment and evidence in clearance documentation from radar supplier in support of clearance activities
- Ensure you assess supplier deviations related to safety
- You will generate Safety arguments to maintain the safety of the aircraft
- Addressing any Certification queries or concerns raised both internally and by Eurofighter and NETMA Nations
- You will be involved in generation of in-service risk assessments and in-service instructions relating to the radar in order to maintain the continued airworthiness of the in-service aircraft fleet
- Continuously assess opportunities for improvement and efficiency saving
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience (preferably with Safety or Systems Engineering focus)
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering systems
- Experience in product safety engineering
Desirable:
- Experience of Typhoon / aircraft safety
- Experience of working with suppliers

The Radar EDR team:
The Radar Safety Team sits within the wider EDR team and consists of 3-5 engineers and ensures that the products delivered are safe for operation with the Typhoon platform both at an initial delivery point and throughout the in-service lifecycle.
