Highway Claims Manager - Grade 10 (£40,833-£42,840)

As a member of the Highways service you will be required to provide professional, technical support and advice on issues relating to insurance claims to the Service Manager (Business Support), Network Management, Senior Engineers, elected members, internal departments and the public to support the delivery of the Council's statutory highways duties.

Investigate highways accident claims, respond to claimants and provide information to the Council's Insurance Section, insurers, Service Manager (Business Support) and Head of Highways.

Compile and provide detailed reports, statements and technical information to enable the Council's insurers to assess liability and settle or fight claims.

Keep accurate records of claims and associated documentation and update statutory Highways records as appropriate.
