Investec are looking for a senior Quantitiave Developer to join our Quantitative Strategies team of 15+ quants and developers based in London as part of the Corporate and Investment Banking division. The team supports Investec's trading businesses and acts as the banks trading book calculation engine as well as offering pricing, trade capture and risk reporting functionality across the group.

What you'll be doing

This role sits within the Core Development part of Quant Strats team and is focused on developing, supporting and defining the architecture of an in-house trading and risk management system. The core languages are C++ and C#. You will be an experienced developer in either C++ or C# with some experience in other programming languages such as Python. You will have an interest in technology and application architecture and be flexible in working on all parts of the application and core library.

The application is expanding into new business areas and we are looking to hire bright individuals who can help with this growth.

You will be working very closely with technology, quants, trading, dealing and market risk. Developers in this team are responsible for ensuring the system can support trade capture, live market data, PnL/Risk calc, trade lifecycling and reporting.

What we're looking for

• Strong C++ or C# skills with a track record as a senior Developer / Tech Lead
• Experience with RDMS eg MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase
• NoSQL database - eg Redis/Memcached
• Comfortable with threading in a real time data application
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a highly analytical environment is key
• Someone who can confidently and calmly deal with ambiguity

• A computer science graduate or other advanced STEM degree

Any other attributes that would be helpful, but not essential

• Experience either within or using a quant library
• Cloud experience eg Azure/ AWS/ Google Cloud
• Other programming languages such as VBA, Python, Go
• CMake/ Git/ Jira/ Clang
• Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins/ Team City)
• DevOps experience
