Job title: Quality Team Leader
Location: Rochester
Salary: Circa £54,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:

Leading the team to deliver functional and project objectives
-
Supporting the team to deliver day-to-day tasks across Hardware, Software, PLD, Safety disciplines including, non-conformance management, audit, gate reviews, First Article inspection, build support, documentation review and change control

General Supervision of the team including people management, people development and annual performance reviews

Lead and support continuous improvement
-
Conducting monthly Estimate To Complete (ETC) reviews with the team against plan and forecasting forward loading resource requirements for the team and supporting recruitment activities where required

Supporting early bid activities, creating and delivering ETC’s derived from customer/ industry requirements, business practices and project briefings

Act as an Assessor for Quality at the various Gate reviews
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
-
Extensive knowledge and experience of Quality tools, processes and procedures
-
Experience with people management and or coaching/ mentoring
-
An inquisitive mind-set, articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Evidence of building networks and good relationships with others across the business.
Desirable:
-
Experience of Development / Manufacturing in the aerospace environment
-
Good working knowledge of EN9100, AS9102, DO178, DO254, APR 4754 & ARP 4761
-
Lean 6-sigma trained
-
Knowledge of APQP/PPAP to AS9145

The Quality Assurance Development Team:
Reporting to the Development Quality Manager, this is an exciting role is to lead a team of engineers focussed on supporting development across Controls, Displays and Inceptors projects. Additionally, the role is responsible for ensuring the team are managing all quality requirements from early bid stage through qualification and into production. As well as general supervision tasks the role is also to support projects and drive functional objectives.
