About the Role

You will be Quality Manager for the Luxury production department (LPA) with Leven Packaging. You will be responsible departmental quality from inbound to outbound, and support both Customer Operations with market concerns and markets directly. The role holder will lead and drive the quality agenda of the department by working closely with site Governance and internal business stakeholders such as Procurement and Innovation &Brand Change; while also leading and nurturing external relationships with suppliers. Being able to apply a customer focused lens, you should be a leader with strong functional understanding of quality and be able to apply it to food safety, compliance, material quality and finished goods specifications.

In this role you will be responsible for driving a wide area of initiatives like:

  • Crafting team direction, with an inclusive culture and effective employee quality engagement.
  • Quality competence, training and verification processes.
  • Implement internal continuous improvement plans, leading quality standards.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers - handling these to reduce quality non-conformance.
  • Emphasis on supplier capability and supplier performance management.
  • Robust quality incident investigation and customer concerns.
  • Be a great partner with markets and luxury supply chain around quality.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • To be a people manager with strong interpersonal and leadership skills and ability to communicate to all levels across the site.
  • Experience working in a process environment, with evidence to demonstrate ability to develop effective working relationships with internal and external partners and cross functional teams to deliver organisational efficiency and improved business performance.
  • You have experience in a quality role and have led projects with multi-disciplined teams.
  • You may have experience in utilising manufacturing excellence tools and techniques such as 5S, lean six sigma.
  • Ability to manage a team, motivate change and bring others with you on that journey.
