In this role, we're looking for you to take full ownership of our quality processes and support with our mission to improve cell sorting. Our mission is to make our cutting-edge technology accessible to every laboratory as well as enable new clinical applications. At Cellular Highways, we've developed an automated high-throughput sterile cell sorter for cell therapies. Your role as a Quality Manager will be crucial in overseeing and leading the quality standards within the organisation, as well as implementing and improving our processes including production and service provision

Collaboration is important too and so, you'll work closely with our senior management team on our quality objectives, accreditation and audits. You'll work with our operations manager on production and service provision and with our R&D team on product design, verification and validation. Responsibilities and duties:

  • Accountable for the QMS and compliance across the business.
  • Lead the business efficiently to QMS accreditation and consistent delivery of quality product to customers.
  • Implement and improve our quality systems and procedures, including overall management, production, service and R&D.
  • Lead internal audits, external audits, and hosting audits.
  • Provide training and support on the QMS to colleagues and new employees.
  • Maintain and improve QMS documentation and records.
  • Monitor quality performance, lead root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Champion continuous improvement to ensure issues are swiftly resolved.
  • Actively participate in operational quality from goods-in to final inspection with the goal of excellence.
  • Take responsibility in operational quality from supplier quality and material inspection to testing, monitoring and final inspection.

Requirements

  • Previously worked as a Quality Manager, Quality specialist or have experience leading and implementing a QMS across a team.
  • Experience setting-up, maintaining and getting certification for a QMS for relevant quality standards, for example ISO 13485.
  • Practical, hands-on approach to quality processes in manufacturing and service provision.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work within a start-up environment.
  • Experience in working with either Life Sciences or the Medical device industries would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of frameworks for process improvement.
