Job Vacancy: Quality Manager

Location: Antrim/Ballymena

Job Type: Full-Time Permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week

Salary: Negotiable

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Manager to join our Quality team on a permanent basis. Ideally the successful candidate will be based in our Antrim or Ballymena branch.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining quality within our training division. They will be responsible for the ongoing monitoring and improvement of Quality, Teaching, and Learning provision; reviewing learners' progress and facilitating the dissemination of all relevant information to Tutors. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for continuous improvement, and a strong background in quality management within an educational or training environment.

Main Duties will include;

  • Support and mentor Tutors to maintain high quality provision of Teaching & Learning. This includes course content, teaching & learning strategies, curriculum planning, tutor/learner rapport, learner assessment, engagement and motivation,
  • Conduct regular teaching and learning quality inspections with Tutors as per Company Policy,
  • Conduct class focus group meetings, and analyse feedback from students to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of training operations.
  • Facilitate Standardisation Meetings for each allocated professional and technical area / Essential Skills as allocated,
  • Complete ongoing portfolio examination / Learning Assistant to ensure suitable learner progress, agreed portfolio format, evidence of marking for improvement and ongoing assessment (excluding Essential Skills).
  • Conduct IQS meetings with Tutors and report finding to Branch Managers,
  • If your role includes Lead Internal Verifier, plan an ongoing IV strategy ensuring regular feedback is provided to Tutors/Assessors, and disseminate relevant professional and technical area information. If not an IQA you must support lead IQA and ensure readiness for EQA visits and disseminate relevant information on report from EQA,
  • Conduct Induction Training with new Teaching staff, and provide on-going support and training with the aid of Targeted Training Plans conducted,

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Level 2 English and Maths (Grade C and above)
  • Teaching Qualification (Minimum Certificate in Teaching)
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in the delivery of Skills for Life and Work and/or AppNI programmes
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience conducting full assessments and/or internal verification
  • Extensive knowledge of occupational standards as set out by the Awarding Body, ETI and DFE standards
  • Extensive knowledge of IQRS standards
  • The successful candidates must be in a position to travel between sites to carry out the tasks associated with this role (in some cases at short notice)
  • IV Award (Desirable)
