Quality Manager

North Somerset Environment Company (NSEC) is seeking an experienced and qualified (or part qualified) Quality Manager to be part of its leadership team, responsible for the effective delivery and maintenance of its quality management system and business performance data.

NSEC operate in multiple sectors including municipal and commercial waste management, and highways maintenance, including managing and maintaining multiple facilities including depots and offices, waste transfer stations, and household waste and recycling centres. In partnership with North Somerset Council, we are responsible for collecting recycling and waste from over 100,000 homes and commercial businesses across North Somerset, along with managing Household Waste Recycling Centres at Backwell, Portishead, and Weston. The role is based at our Weston super Mare Offices.

You would be joining the Company at a very exciting time, as we are set to expand after successfully bidding for new contract services. NSEC are also launching 5 Year Business Plan involving multiple commercial activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Professional qualifications associated with quality standards and auditing e.g. ISO.
• Experience setting up, delivering, and maintaining Quality Management Systems.
• - Understanding of the key requirements of quality and environmental management systems.
• Understanding of Environmental Permitting and Environment Agency returns.
• Experience operating in a lean or continuous improvement environment.
• Background in a waste or logistics management environment.
• IT literate including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Ability to build excellent business relationships with teams and key stakeholders.
