Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Portsmouth – Broad Oak. We offer flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £36,000 commensurate with skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carry out inspection activities to ensure produce compliance to drawing requirements
  • Carry out inspection activities to ensure produce compliance to correct build standards
  • Ability to exchange technical information in an articulate and concise manner
  • Abe able to use technical knowledge to determine product compliance
  • Support internal and external audits as required

Your skills and experiences

  • Have a detailed knowledge of Defence industry and ISO9001/ EN9100 standards
  • Have a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing
  • Have a detailed understanding of manufacturing standards such as ANSI J/IPC or similar
  • HNC/HND or completed apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)

The Production and Test Team:

BAE Systems Broad Oak provides product and support services to a diverse range of customers worldwide of both mechanical and electrical variety. This role will provide critical quality inspection work to support the Royal Navy and MoD in the Underwater Weapons sector within a small team whilst driving right first time with opportunity to support a multitude of other contracts situated on site.
