Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Sheffield – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £50,818+ Depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

· Quality Compliance & Certification – Ensure adherence to quality certifications, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations while supporting the business in all quality-related matters for products and processes

· Supplier & Process Management – Engage with suppliers to implement Advanced Product Quality Planning principles and First Article Inspection Report processes while leading quality planning, risk assessment, and risk analysis activities

· Leadership & Process Adherence – Lead a team of Quality Control and Non-Destructive Testing Technicians, ensuring strict compliance with processes, procedures, and techniques to maintain quality standards

· Non-Conformance & Continuous Improvement – Manage and resolve product or process non-conformance issues, support quality reviews, and drive continual improvement initiatives

· Quality Audits & Investigations – Facilitate and conduct quality audits, investigations, and human factors assessments to uphold quality management system standards

· Data Management & Quality Culture – Maintain quality records, define and report key quality metrics, and promote a proactive, preventive quality culture across the business

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

· Experience with manufacturing, fabrication, welding, quality control and non-destructive testing of large structures (preferably Titanium)

· Advanced Product Quality Planning, Lean, Six Sigma, and other quality tools and techniques

· Understanding of Quality Standards such as ISO 9001, Special Processes, and Regulatory Standards

· Knowledge of product safety requirements

· Proficiency in data analytics

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data interpretation, troubleshooting, project management, diagnostics, content creation, presentation skills, technical writing, auditing, data presentation, systems administration, action management, and stakeholder management

· Strong Quality Engineering project skills, with Lean Six Sigma advantageous

· Root cause analysis and continuous improvement techniques

Desirable:

· Understanding of Export Control requirements, such as ITAR

· Experience in risk management

· Lead auditor qualification to ISO 9001
