The objective is to assure the safety, compliance, legality and quality of our products, you will plan the implementation of the Global Quality Assurance Strategy, Good Manufacturing, Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Strategy.

The position is based in Ashford.

You will report to the Regional Quality Assurance Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

Quality System Compliance • :

You will lead and maintain approved status to accreditation Standards in the scope of the QMS (e.g. ISO 9001/14000, Halal/Kosher, Good Manufacturing Practice.

QMS Documentation:

You will maintain QMS documentation required to ensure the effectiveness of the system and assure product quality.

Process Critical to Quality:

You will Ensure the effectiveness of processes critical to quality. e.g. includes Change Control, HACCP / CCP's, validation schedules / trials, pest control, cleaning, Product Recall / Annual Test.

Audits / Corrective & Preventative Actions:

You will maintain an internal audit schedule that expresses the level of compliance to appropriate requirements. (Standards / ISO / GMP / BP's).

Customer/Sales Interface:

You will coordinate the review and response to client related quality enquiries, quality agreements, questionnaires, evaluation reports..

Manage Non Conformance:

You will insure the effectiveness of processes managing non-conformances e.g. Customer Complaints, internal nonconformance. • Lead Product Recall.

People Management:

You will manage employees within the QA function, ensuring the required level of capability and competency is maintained and assess the effectiveness of training in all site functions

Efficiency of the QA function:

You will guide the Plan, Do, Check, and Act continuous improvement process concerning processes that are critical to quality inc. SAP/systems, developing Indicators and the culture of continuous improvement e.g. SOED/RIE/VPM.

Communication:

You will communicate the performance of the QMS, including events (e.g. Product Recall, Contaminations etc.) and site Quality Indicator performance to Quality Manager / Senior Management.

Academic Background
• Bachelor's degree in a Science, Engineering, Quality Management, Continuous Improvement or related discipline. • Quality Management Specific Qualification.

Professional Experience
• Overall work experience of 5+ years with 5 years relevant experience. • 2 years of progressive people management required.

Technical Skills
• Proficient in reading, writing and comprehending English language
• Expert level of understanding of the principles of Quality Management Systems e.g. ISO 9001 and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of all business processes on site in multiple responsibilities / sub -businesses
