What you’ll be doing:
- Provide simulator based emergency handling and aircraft systems training to Operational Conversion Unit (OCU), Test and Evaluation Squadron (TES) and Front Line Typhoon pilots
- Perform the duties of a Tow Pilot, acting as formation lead to enable the completion of OPCON syllabus events in support of QFI instruction
- Work outside of core Company hours as required to support the 29 Sqn task in accordance with the TyTAN contract
- Provide high quality training support, to include role playing (GCI/JTAC/Red Air), operating synthetic devices and any other activity required under the TyTAN contract to support Typhoon Pilot Training
- Produce accurate, objective and well-reasoned subjective assessments of student performance, and accompanying written reports
- Deliver high quality ground school training in accordance with the GFx provided syllabi, acting as SME for technical systems as allocated by the TTF ATM and maintenance of relevant lecture material iaw with DSAT requirements
Your skills and experiences:
- Former RAF fast jet OCU instructor or QFI/QWI
- Understanding of Customer synthetic training needs and utilisation of synthetic training requirements
- Understanding of Typhoon operations and weapons systems
- Understanding of the RAF Air Safety system
- Knowledge of Typhoon aircraft and Customer training structure and processes (DSAT) is desirable
