QA Manager (D365)

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Dynamics CRM domain expert with exceptional Quality Assurance skills and a strong understanding of how D365 integration works.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the testing efforts for our Microsoft Dynamics CRM implementation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful design, development, and implementation of our CRM solution. You will direct and manage the full project-life cycle and set standards for assignments and applications. You will be responsible for the delivery of the defined work packages to the client, provide effective management to teams and give guidance to key business users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end testing activities for Microsoft Dynamics CRM implementation projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and subject matter experts, to define testing scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Design and maintain test environments, including test data creation and management.
  • Monitor and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and closure.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CRM functionality and integrations.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of the system after changes or enhancements.
  • Provide regular status updates on testing progress, including test execution metrics, defect status, and risk assessment.
  • Ensure that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, are signed off
  • Use project planning tools and participate in the identification of and planning for future resource needs.
  • Allocate and co-ordinate test schedules, work and resource plans; managing progress of all activities against the plan, managing own deliverables and that of others to meet delivery deadlines
  • Provide quality assurance evaluation estimates on various projects, including the ability to execute vision, goals and direction of a team/teams.
  • Diagnose problems and probes underlying issues to generate multiple potential solutions.
  • Proactively anticipate and prevent problems, facilitate buy-in and guides implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions for complex issues
  • Create quality assurance procedures and user instructions to ensure a reusable process and tools approach
  • Define and implement quality process improvements and metrics focused on defect prevention.
  • Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects or release level
  • Input into proof of concept exercises and assist sales with pre-sales collateral
  • Mentor and train junior team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and adherence to testing best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Microsoft Dynamics CRM testing methodologies and tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
  • ISTQB Advanced advantageous
  • Additional course or certification in Quality Assurance
  • Project Management qualification
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft Dynamics CRM testing would be a plus.

Essential skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, including functional modules, customization, and integration capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of CRM testing methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Proficient in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Excellent client-facing skills

Experience

  • Extensive experience as a Microsoft Dynamics (D365 F&O) CRM Test Manager, including upgrades or migrations of Financial modules, with a strong background in manual and automated testing.
  • Worked on complex projects involving multiple parties including Service Providers
  • Defining appropriate approach and governance standards, including methods, tools and applications for Client, Programme or Projects
  • Introduced innovation and continuous improvement to advance Client and Expleo team delivery
  • Experience of introducing new concepts or strategies that significantly improve or revise the way business is done through to implementation.
