The Senior Pursuit Manager role within the Merkle UK Growth team is an exciting opportunity to lead and coordinate the pre-sales strategy for the global launch of a ground-breaking product with one of our leading client brands. Acting as the right-hand person to the leader of Commercial, this role offers exceptional exposure. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, including the CEO and CCO, gaining insight and influence at the highest level.
This position requires strategic oversight, innovative thinking, and exceptional organisational skills to ensure the seamless delivery of high-impact sales activities across a global network. As Senior Pursuit Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional project management while fostering collaboration across teams and ensuring alignment with client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Global Project Management and Governance
• Develop and manage a detailed project plan and work schedule that encompasses all commercial team activities, ensuring alignment with the overall
programme timeline.
• Track the global sales plan, monitoring in-market activities across 30+ markets, identifying risks and gaps, and ensuring sales team readiness aligns
with the agreed process.
• Maintain a RAID log (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) for all commercial team activities to enable proactive issue management.
• Coordinate activities with PMO peers across other workstreams, managing dependencies and resolving issues efficiently.
• Participate in programme management updates and planning sessions, ensuring colleagues are informed about commercial team activities and
priorities.
Dentsu Market Engagement
• Manage and maintain the global knowledge-sharing platform, ensuring seamless access for 30+ dentsu markets.
• Collaborate with the Market Engagement Lead to develop and deliver a comprehensive plan for all materials required for local dentsu teams or inmarket
use.
• Collect and distribute market feedback and reporting, transforming it into actionable insights and plans for relevant teams.
• Ensure the quality of assets delivered to key target segments, including prospects in banking, strategic partners, and government sectors.
Sales Enablement and Best Practices
Represent Sales Enablement in the Qualification process, ensuring strategic opportunities are scoped effectively.
• Promote and share best practices, working methods, and innovative strategies across the dentsu network.
• Build and leverage the Content Library to provide relevant materials for pursuit teams and update it with insights from projects to enrich future
engagements.
What experience do I need?
• A minimum of five years experience working in a similar new business or pursuit management environment.
• Strategic thinker with a meticulous approach to project management and process governance.
• Strong collaborator capable of managing multiple workstreams across diverse teams and geographies.
• Confident challenging upwards and able to constructively question senior team members and influence strategic direction.
• Skilled problem-solver who proactively anticipates issues, manages dependencies, and navigates complexity to find solutions.
• Exceptional organisational skills to balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes with tight deadlines.
• Adept at synthesising feedback and insights into actionable plans to inform strategy and enhance delivery.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and global markets.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused, ensuring all assets and deliverables meet the highest standards for key target segments.
• Highly motivated, agile, and naturally curious, thriving in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
