Purchasing Manager

Our international client is seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee a team of three Procurement Administrators. The role requires two days of onsite work and three days of remote work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the purchasing team, ensuring regular completion of training, development plans, and goal setting.

* Manage the purchasing operations by developing, implementing, and overseeing purchasing strategies, processes, and procedures that align with company goals and enhance operational efficiency.

* Supervise the dashboards and allocate tickets among the team for purchasing tasks.

* Provide leadership, mentorship, and growth opportunities to the purchasing team.

* Generate and share reports on purchasing metrics, ticket volumes, and major projects.

* Work with Group Finance to ensure service delivery is within budget and allocated to the correct cost codes.

* Take ownership of and streamline processes for essential purchasing systems.

* Identify and achieve savings and cost avoidance, reporting on the financial benefits realised.

Experience Needed:

* Proven experience managing an operational purchasing team.

* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

* Skilled in supplier negotiation, management, and vendor selection.

* Proficient in MS Office suite, especially MS Excel.

* Demonstrated ability in enhancing purchasing processes and systems.
