What you'll do

As the Pumping Station Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring Health and Safety of the team, contractors and yourself. Additionally, you will also be responsible for training, personal development and performance management of staff, maintaining and monitoring staff performance in all areas.

You will communicate incidents, abnormalities, operational needs and changes to Operators, Manager, Control Room and the business. You will also monitor the pumping station maintenance programme and open customer contacts, reporting back to the Regional pumping station Manager.

In addition, you will be responsible for the budget, identify areas of high spend, reducing cost by efficient working and audit site tasks, monitor lone working, customer contact and telemetry alarms.

This role is based in the South of our region predominantly in Dorset.
What you'll need

To do this role, you'll be an experienced supervisor with excellent knowledge of sewerage pumping stations their ancillary systems, as well as policies and procedures.

You will have a minimum electrical qualification of at least NVQ level 2 qualified in electrical and mechanical Maintenance, have knowledge of COSSH as well as holding IOSH managing safely and confined space working certificates.

Excellent working relationships are key to this role and you will need to be able to build an effective rapport with all of your customers and colleagues. Along with your excellent communication skills, you'll posses excellent IT literacy.

Due to the remote nature of the role, it is essential you hold a full clean UK driving licence
