We are looking for a Public Affairs Manager to help deliver Lime's policy and government relations work in London. You will report to the Director of Policy for the UK and Ireland.

In this role you will help to build and manage relationships with politicians, local authorities, transport partners and third sector stakeholders to protect and grow our London service. You will also lead our community engagement efforts here.

Lime operates a flexible working policy. The role is based in London and will require travel across the city to meet with different Councils, community groups and organisations. On occasion it may also require you to host or attend events outside of working hours.

What you will do

  • Build and manage relationships with politicians, local authorities, transport partners and community groups to help improve existing services and open new schemes.
  • Plan and execute local campaigns on specific issue areas or in specific geographies to deliver positive business outcomes for Lime.
  • Partner with organisations in target cities to align Lime's social mission with existing transport, health, and environmental community initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with other Lime team members on operations, media engagement and marketing.
  • Work closely with the wider local policy team to identify growth opportunities and any risks or upcoming policy challenges for Lime.

About you

  • 5+ years experience in government affairs, political campaigns, and/or business development in a government-related environment.
  • Excellent internal and external communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver accurate, high quality outputs at speed.
  • Strong understanding of local London and UK politics and how to design and implement public affairs strategies to deliver business goals.
