About the role

Base Location:Flexible Scotland | We're proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base 'home' location to be one of our SSEN offices or depots within our Network Area in Scotland.

Salary:£55,200 - £83,000 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern:Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The role will lead on all programme, project management, construction and project procurement activity undertaken across the Transmission Estate, which includes Operations Depots and Warehouses. This is a portfolio of over 165 premises across the whole of the transmission network area. The role also acts as the overall Transmission Business lead for the development and management of the Transmission Office portfolio. In this role, you will:

- Be responsible for the delivery of all Capital and Opex property programmes and for ensuring projects are delivered within the agreed parameters in terms of cost, quality and specification.

- With our Finance and Operations Teams, develop the Opex and Maintenance programme for the Transmission Estate for the next 5 years as part of an OFGEM submission

- Working with HR, develop a Property Strategy for the Transmission Estate and all of the office spaces it requires for the next 5 years, to meet our Pathway to 2030 Net Zero commitments.

- Working with Operations, develop capital refurbishment programmes for the estate to meet OFGEM pricing control requirements.

- Manage a team of internal staff, and external consultants in fulfilling the demands of the role.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Educated to degree level in a construction/technical related discipline.

- Retain or working towards a recognised project management qualification i.e Prince 2.

- Demonstrable construction project and programme management skills.

- Demonstrable Building Services knowledge including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, Fire Protection, communications and IT services.

- An excellent understanding and knowledge of construction activities, including CDM, SHE Regulations and NEC Contracts.
