We currently have two exciting Property Manager opportunities within the Council's Asset Strategy Team reporting to one of 5 Property Partners.
What will I be doing?
You will be responsible for supporting the day to day management and future strategy of the Council's Operational Estate. This includes commercial lease / license activities, acquisition and disposal, valuations and appraisals involving buildings which are predominantly used to provide Council Services.
This includes Schools, Libraries, Leisure Centres, Heritage Estates, Museums, Parks, Highways a large portfolio of community buildings and retail units associated with Council Housing estates.
You will support Property Partners in advising on all aspects of property asset management in order to maximise property performance through rationalisation, income generation and cost reduction while facilitating / maintaining service delivery in the most cost effective manner.
You will also work with Property Partners and service leads to provide property data, advice and insight which will inform the development of service asset management plans.
What do I need to have?
Your level of interest and experience attained in property and asset management environment together with any property related qualification will determine your entry position within the career grade.
An excellent communicator, problem solver and advocate, you will demonstrate an ability to offer clear property advice and to negotiate, monitor and complete property transactions.
You will also be a good listener with capability to clearly understand, articulate and implement property solutions to service requirements.
