What you'll be doing
Boots Opticians has just had its 4th record breaking year. Our property team are delivering more new stores and store interventions that ever and our team is expanding.
We therefore require a Property Administrator to help support the scheduling, delivery and management of our property and maintenance strategy.
This role is dedicated to Boots Opticians Property team, based in D90 but with a remit covering the UK, the role reports to the Program and Planning Manager.
Key responsibilities
- This role will support the implementation of the Retail Property Investment strategy for all 550 Boots Opticians stores including Franchise.
- We deliver 200 annual property change schemes, which requires support in their planning, scheduling, design, contracting and on budget.
- The annual Maintenance programme also requires detailed planning, follow up and execution.
- The role will involve the administration of Investment Requisition papers, support the Project management of schemes and have significant relationships across Boots UK and Hearing care property teams, contractors, suppliers and maintenance teams.
- Requirement to work closely with Core and Franchise stores.
- Accountable for the assignment and ordering of all Boots Opticians store based maintenance in line with £1m pa budget.
- Accountable for escalation to ensure safety of store teams and customers and to ensure trading interruption is minimal.
- Assign work to contractors, communicate with stores and retail leaders.
- Accountable for in year clinical equipment planning, spend, delivery and maintenance.
- Responsible for the management of supply chain of furniture orders.
What you'll need to have (our must-haves)
- Significant experience in administrative roles covering substantial financial impact.
- Experience with Stores and support office teams.
- Creative and independent minded, with an understanding of the crucial role they play in the delivery of their role.
- Experienced administrator who can bring a sharp focus to deliver the in year and future plans without line management.
- Self starter, balancing autonomy with being highly accountable.
- Builds strong internal and external relationships with influence and impact.
