Overview
The Corner provides support and treatment to young people under 18 in the Sheffield area who are experiencing problems with drugs and alcohol. We also provide advice and information to family members and significant others who may be worried about or affected by a young person's substance misuse.
Responsibilities
As a Service Promotion and Engagement Volunteer, you will support us in spreading awareness of the service we provide. You'll do this through community outreach engagement activities, and support to actively promote the service we offer to ensure that we reach the young people, families, and organisations who can benefit most.
You will support in the creation and distribution of promotional materials, supporting with updating our social media platforms and supporting efforts to engage the young people we support.
This is a rewarding role where you will support us to expand the visibility of our services, and by doing so, you will help us to extend the reach and effectiveness of the service. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about community engagement and making a difference.

Where: Sheffield city centre, at the office and operational sites in the local community.
When: We will work with you to be as flexible as possible, whether you can donate one day a week of your time or 3days+. The core activity of this role occurs during the day (9:00am - 5:00pm).
Volunteer Expenses: Travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed as per CGL's volunteer policy.
Key Activities:
- Support to develop and distribute promotional materials such as flyers, and newsletters
- Support to create and share content for social media platforms to increase engagement and awareness
- Support us to build and maintain relationships with local services and schools etc.
- Attend local organisations teams meetings to raise awareness of our support offer
- Attend community events, stalls and support to provide information sessions to increase awareness & visibility
