Projects Delivery Manager

This role is responsible for delivering professional project management across Operations, ensuring the successful completion of assigned projects that contribute to Cornerstone's business objectives.

The primary focus is the delivery of electrical improvement works, ensuring that Cornerstone's assets are safe, compliant, and aligned with current industry standards. This includes undertaking risk evaluations and developing structured plans to upgrade or replace existing electrical supply arrangements.

The role holder will manage and deliver electrical remediation works identified through inspection programmes, ensuring all activities are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. A key requirement of the role is to provide comprehensive documentary evidence of completed works to support audit and compliance obligations.

All physical works will be managed in accordance with CDM regulations and industry best practice, ensuring delivery within agreed timescales and minimising impact on customer network services. Safe working will be at the forefront of all on-site activities, with strong governance and oversight at site level.

The role holder will directly manage a supplier base in line with contract frameworks and performance requirements, ensuring that key project objectives are delivered efficiently and to Cornerstone's expected quality standards.

Project progress will be reported clearly and concisely to the Programme Manager, enabling effective communication across the wider business

While the role is primarily focused on electrical improvements, the role holder will also support the wider Operations Project team in achieving broader operational objectives. This may include managing multiple projects concurrently and delivering Additional Services Instructions in response to customer demand.

Project Planning

Develop and plan assigned projects, clearly defining scope, objectives, deliverables, and electrical risks, ensuring engagement and support from all key stakeholders.
Act as a lead for electrical inspections, EICR surveys, reporting, and condition assessments of Cornerstone assets.
Collaborate closely with Engineering & Design and HSQE teams to ensure electrical condition, compliance status, risk categorisation, and required remedial actions are fully understood and aligned.
Create and maintain detailed project delivery plans, enabling progress tracking and adaptation to changing requirements.
Manage scope changes effectively, updating project plans for time, cost, and quality impacts, ensuring all changes are clearly communicated and approved by stakeholders.

Project Governance & Control
Establish and maintain effective project governance across multiple suppliers using structured processes such as progress reviews, 1:1 meetings, and conference calls.
Facilitate regular governance meetings with internal teams to identify, document, and manage electrical compliance risks, agreeing appropriate mitigation strategies.
Proactively identify and manage electrical risks, defects, non-compliance issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution or escalation where required.
Assess the cost-benefit of electrical remedial works and upgrades, ensuring investment decisions support asset safety, compliance, and business value
Escalate high-cost or complex electrical remediation works to senior stakeholders for review and approval.
Define and track project budgets, including electrical remediation costs, upgrade works, and delivery forecasts.
Continuously improve project processes and controls to drive efficiency and enhance delivery outcomes.

Project Delivery & Reporting
Manage relationships with all stakeholders to ensure expectations are aligned, decisions are made in a timely manner, and dependencies are effectively managed.
Provide clear and consistent reporting against delivery targets, maintaining systems and tools that demonstrate project progress.
Review all site reports from a technical and electrical compliance perspective, interpreting outputs such as EICR results, observations (C1, C2, C3, FI), and remedial requirements to ensure accuracy and quality.
Collate and analyse data to provide estate-wide electrical compliance reporting and insights.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive electrical risk profile of the estate, supporting prioritisation of remediation activities.
Support the Operations Manager with additional projects or initiatives as required.
Assist with finance-related queries to ensure accurate billing and adherence to deadlines.
Promote a "safety first" culture, ensuring all activities are delivered without risk of harm.

Stakeholder Management
Manage multiple suppliers to ensure delivery against agreed SLAs, providing guidance on electrical compliance, technical standards, remedial solutions, and commercial considerations.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams including Engineering & Design, Demand, HSQE, Legal, Property & Estates, and Finance, as well as external partners.
Ensure consistent application of Cornerstone electrical standards, policies, and compliance requirements across all activities.
Set clear expectations, deliver on commitments, and foster an environment of open and effective communication.
Champion a Health & Safety-first approach across all site activities, ensuring adherence to electrical safety standards, safe isolation practices, and CDM Regulations.
Include Health & Safety performance as a key agenda item in all governance meetings, sharing lessons learned from electrical incidents, defects, and observations.
Monitor supplier competence in electrical works and compliance delivery through regular site inspections and audits, reporting findings to senior stakeholders and HSQE.

Skills and Knowledge
- Relevant technical qualification or equivalent site-based experience in telecoms or electrical environments
- Educated to A-Level (or equivalent) or higher
- Project management qualification such as PRINCE2, Agile PM, or equivalent accreditation
- Proven technical knowledge of telecom site construction, including electrical infrastructure, power systems, and site energisation arrangements
- Strong knowledge of current CDM Regulations and associated roles and responsibilities within project delivery
- Understanding of electrical distribution systems within telecom environments (e.g., LV supply, backup systems, and site resilience)
- Ability to build strong working relationships and establish trust with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience working with large datasets, including EICR outputs, defect categorisation (C1, C2, C3, FI), and producing actionable reports and prioritised site lists
- Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
