Job Title: Project Quality Assurance Lead

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £50,818 + depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will manage and take responsibility for quality-related activities within a portfolio of projects including quality planning, Life Cycle Management without daily supervision
  • Work with Supplier Quality and Control Teams to achieve quality activities required in Project Plans, to allocated budget(s)
  • Identify any adverse trends, recommending, and initiating corrective actions within the project and reporting to the wider business
  • Understand and deploy quality process improvement techniques to ensure that continuous improvement is maintained within the projects
  • Mentor a small team of Quality professionals as and when required, and support other members of the overall Quality Team
  • Maintain compliance to Business Unit’s local Quality Business Management System and Project Quality Plans
  • Promotion of the value of Quality throughout the Business and Projects

Your skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role, including quality planning, costing and good business acumen
  • Experience working to quality Standards e.g. ISO9001, ISO10005
  • A good working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Advanced Production Quality Planning (APQP)
  • Understanding of Life Cycle Management and Stage Gate Review processes
  • Data Analytics, business reporting and risk management experience

The Project & Supplier Quality team:

You will be working within the Quality team, which is a small and dynamic team, split into various parts – Project, Supplier, Control and compliance, working across multiple sites. The team is small, working with existing projects and manufacturing.
