What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the ammunition Design Authority support to production contracts with BAE Systems and KNDS Ammunition France to maintain datapack releases and engineering query resolution according to contract Key Performance Indicators

  • Project Management of specific ammunition development, test and trials projects in conjunction with the ammunition engineering team and other business functions (e.g. procurement, commercial)

  • Manage the Government Furnished Equipment process and register to ensure equipment is available where necessary and to issue the required formal reports to MoD

  • Project Management Support for all CTAI ammunition development, qualification and production support projects. Deputise for the CTAI Ammunition Project Manager as required

  • Application of PM toolsets for scheduling, cost management, risk and opportunity management and management reporting

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Knowledge and application of basic project management principles and practice – WBS, Scheduling and Networking, OBS, Budgeting and Resourcing, Risk and Opportunity, and the supporting toolsets (e.g. MSP, Microsoft office, ERP toolsets)

  • Be ready to relocate to Bourges, France

  • Good level of English presentation and communication skills

Desirable:

  • Formal entry-level PM qualification (e.g. PMP)

  • Knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes, ideally in a defence or munitions environment

  • French language competence A2 – C2

The Team:

Would you like to join CTA International, working as part of our Project Management team? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Professional to join the team in Bourges, France. This is an international secondment opportunity working in the historic town of Bourges in central France. The duration of the secondment is 3 years. You’d be joining a small, close-knit, diverse team formed as a joint venture between BAE Systems and the French company KNDS.

The joint venture develops, produces, and markets the cutting-edge 40mm Cased Telescoped weapon system and this role fits within the ammunition design authority team managing various projects from private venture concept studies through to qualification and manufacturing support. CTA International, is a dynamic 50/50 joint venture between BAE Systems and KNDS and as such the team has to work closely with stakeholders across the UK and French Ministries of Defence, ammunition manufacturers; BAE Systems and KNDS Ammunition, and our supply chain partners.
