Project Manager Team Leader

We are looking for a Project Manager Team Leader to join our Margin Enhancement team within Global Technical function. You will lead a team to develop and deliver a portfolio of brand change projects, by applying technical, product, process and market knowledge, to unlock opportunities that enhance margin and assure supply continuity.
You will provide packaging and project management expertise, creativity and leadership, in support of the delivery of Diageo's margin aspirations. You will engage senior stakeholders to seek approvals to progress with projects, and you will track approved projects through to delivery with respective workstream and market owners.
This will require the development of key relationships across the globe, brand/market insights, development of workshop materials, organisation and facilitation of workshops, sizing of opportunities, and presentation to decision makers, followed by the tracking of projects through to delivery by workstream, and ownership of execution of Margin Enhancement projects, through your team.

The Margin Enhancement team, situated within Diageo Supply Chain & Procurement's Global Technical function, facilitate the development and execution of packaging and liquid specification simplification projects, across brands, markets and categories. We deliver groundbreaking projects through the lens of the end-to-end value chain, bringing together brand owners, markets and supply expertise in Procurement, Manufacturing and Logistics, to develop and execute margin enhancing opportunities as #onediageo.
About the Function
Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem-solvers, sourcing, producing, and delivering our much-loved brands to delight customers around the globe. Over half of Diageo's 30,000+ people work in Supply Chain and Manufacturing. Role Responsibilities
- Working with supply, procurement and market stakeholders, finance business partners and analysts to gather brand variant and margin insights (inclusive of end-to-end cost and sales data, consumer/customer insights and specification benchmarks).
- Organisation and facilitation of workshops, followed by business case development for approval.
- Developing, prioritising and managing of a portfolio of complex technical projects in their entirety.
- Execution and tracking of Margin Enhancement projects, presenting outcomes and results clearly and with insightful interpretation, demonstrating excellence in trial execution, report generation, problem solving and stakeholder management.
Experience & Skills Required
- Experienced in driving the development and delivery of projects within and across a multi-region organisation, across both developed and developing markets.
- Experience of end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing processes.
- Awareness of financial principles and drivers (Cost of Goods, Bill of Materials, Net Sales Value, Gross Margin) and experienced in developing and presenting complex financial business cases for sign-off.
- Experienced in using existing and changing regulatory contexts to develop technical projects, to manage risk and compliance.
- Proven leadership and influencing skills.
- Experience of problem solving of complex technical problems, and in the definition and implementation of cost reduction projects.
- Experienced in managing, influencing and communicating with a complex set of different stakeholders across supply, market and brand teams.
- Highly competent in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI.
- Attention to detail is key, with an inquisitive & questioning nature.
- Ability to deal with ambiguous or incomplete data and find solutions to drive insights.
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing requirements.
- Great at working as part of a global and virtual team, and pulling-in insights from other areas of the business through strong relationships.
- Experience in leading, inspiring and coaching team members (whether through direct line management or indirectly).
- Strong problem solving, planning and organisation skills.
- Quick learner who exhibits resiliency and tenacity in the face of challenge
- Have a huge passion for growing and developing.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
