Are you interested in the delivery of exciting flood risk and habitat creation projects in Southwest England?

In this Assistant Project Manager role, within our integrated project teams, you will either assist Project Managers on the delivery of medium-high risk projects, or manage your own lower risk projects.

The role holder will be involved in the entire project delivery process from strategic planning, through to feasibility, detailed design and then into construction and handover.

You will be a key part of a collaborative group that includes our supply partners, client representatives, and other technical specialists.

You will develop skills in project, commercial, contract and risk management. You will be involved in various activities such as data management, researching flood risk areas, setting up new projects, using systems and processes to help manage projects, attend site visits and public exhibition meetings.

You will learn how to apply EA legislation, policy, and guidance to deliver benefits for communities and the environment.

This role is ideal for anyone who has some experience in the project delivery environment but wishes to develop project management skills.

We have two specific vacancies: one supporting the Bridgwater Tidal Barrier programme (more info in the candidate pack - be aware this requires minimum 3 days in Bridgwater office) and the other supporting schemes across the Southwest hub.

Responding to incidents is a central part of what we do. This may attract an additional payment and full training, and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you with your incident role.
