Contract Type: Full time, permanent
Location: London 3 days a week in the office (with frequent travel to France once/twice a month) *Please note that this role will eventually become site based (Suffolk) once the construction phase progresses*
Salary: From £78,949 depending on experience, plus bonus and other benefits

About the Role:
Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in one of the most exciting and critical projects in the UK? As a Project Manager for Manufacturing MCW at Sizewell C, you will be at the forefront of driving the delivery of engineering work by the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) and managing key contracts. Your mission will be to advance engineering, secure the supply chain, and de-risk the Final Investment Decision (FID) for Sizewell C through the replication of the Hinkley Point C detailed design.

So, what will you be doing as a Project Manager in the Manufacturing MCW space?
- Support the initiation and delivery of SZC Civil Works Programme manufactured components and the development of an integrated manufacturing team within the Civils Work Alliance.
- Establish nuclear quality and safety culture within a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery programme, and provide SZC Intelligent Client responsibilities and deliverables, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures.
- Oversight of the end to end manufacturing processes, focusing on steel fabrication of liners, pools, tanks and sumps for buildings within the Nuclear Island, ensuring quality, schedule and cost targets are met.
- Collaborate with SZC Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Programme Function teams to prepare for and execute the delivery phase of the project, ensuring best for project decisions and alignment with governance and project controls.
- Integrate offsite assembly with onsite construction activities ensuring compliance with CDM and requirements for schedule and logistics are aligned within the construction delivery plan and milestones.
What are we looking for?
- Experience: Minimum 15 years in civil engineering, with at least 10 years in project management. Experience in safety critical regulated industries (e.g., rail, aviation, aerospace) which are process focussed, is highly desirable along with major programme experience such as HS2, Olympics.
- Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and associated quality assurance and systems within civils construction and ideally within complex engineering projects.
- Education: Degree qualified and/or Chartered in structural engineering, civil engineering, or manufacturing.
- Attributes: Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be solutions focussed and able to operate within a process focussed industry where safety and quality are paramount.
