Project Manager, In-Life (UK/NL)

As our Project Manager - Data Center In-Life Infrastructure, you will be joining our Central Engineering and Operations function and will be responsible for mission critical plant replacement, upgrades and installation of new Infrastructure (In-Life Projects) deliveries across the EMEA region for our existing and operating Data Centers. Your focus will be particulary in the UK while supporting non-UK based projects as well. You will work closely with local teams and regional managers to ensure the scope is clearly defined and agreed and delivered to time, cost and quality as per NTT standards with an emphasis on health and safety at all times. The focus is on mechancial and/or electrical infrastructure. This position is full-time, permanent and will be based in Hemel Hempstead.

What you will do

• Control and manage In-Life projects in our Data Centers
• Manage on a day-to-day basis all resources, activities, work packages and deliveries needed to achieve the required project objectives, working across all internal functions and external contractors/suppliers
• Provide timely, clear, accurate and consistent project progress reporting to all stakeholders showing early identification of potential time-delayed threats and forecast deviations from budget together with pro-active problem solutions
• Provide and maintain all required project documentation to the required NTT standards.
• Identify and manage risks associated with project delivery
• Implement project management-based approach to In-Life projects
• Manage key stakeholders' expectations
• Create business cases demonstrating clear objectives and costs and revenue for each In-Life project
• Act as a resource to the Technical Operations team to manage projects successfully on their behalf from conception to completion
• Ensure that all areas of project health and safety requirements are effectively managed
• Provides regular Project Delivery performance updates
• Develop a positive team culture through achievement of results, teamwork, development, accountability, competency and professionalism

What we are looking for

• Degree in Engineering (electrical, mechanical)
• Experience of working within a large multinational company with significant regional operations
• Proven track record of delivering large complex projects in live operational areas
• Proven track record of delivering portfolio of projects in data centre environment or other live operational areas e.g. Productions Plants, Pharmaceuticals, Power Plants, Oil & Gas or other similar industries
• Project Management Qualifications such as PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®, Project Management Professional (PMP)®, PRINCE2®, IPMA® or comparable
• Proven track record in the establishment, development and of leading multi-region project management teams as Project Manager or in a comparable responsibility
• Demonstrable real experience of fundamental project management principles
• Ability to teach and guide team members through changing environments
• Ability to prepare, present and summarise information to all audience types
• Willing and able to travel
• Proficient in English language both written and verbal - preferably with a secondary european language (e.g. French, Spanish, German, Italian)
• To undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019 standard
