Project Manager (Electrical Bias) - Facilities Management - North of England - £61,860 Inclusive of Car Allowance
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest facilities management companies in the UK, managing prestigious client sites across the North of England.
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Location: Barnsley, covering the North of England
Salary: £61,860 Inclusive of Car Allowance
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare specification briefs in consultation with staff, appoint consultants, and manage specialist contractors.
- Tender works in compliance with our Procurement Policy.
- Submit quotations to clients, secure approvals/purchase orders, and prepare budget costs with ongoing budgetary control.
- Attend regular approval meetings with clients, responding to requests and managing client interfaces.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring work is completed effectively and submitted for invoicing.
- Ensure that all RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) are suitable, sufficient, and adhered to, whether the work is subcontracted or delivered by an in-house team.
- Manage projects from design specification, tendering, installation, commissioning, practical completion, to handover and invoicing.
- Coordinate procurement and resource planning in line with contract requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Manage all Health and Safety matters (CDM) in accordance with current relevant legislation.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven and extensive experience in a similar role.
- Electrical/Technical expertise, with qualifications or apprenticeship in a craft skill or engineering discipline.
- Demonstrated success in delivering multi-task building services projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or processing industries, especially within a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment, would be advantageous.
- Sufficient Health and Safety (CDM) experience to effectively manage projects.
