So, what will I be doing?
In an effort to improve the maturity of our core applications and system landscape, we are in the process of implementing a new ERP system for our business.
We are on the lookout for a project manager to join the team on a 2 year fixed term basis to lead the implementation of IFS across our business.
You will join our PMO team based at our Acorn House office in Highbridge, working in a hybrid way.
You will be a seasoned project manager with extensive experience of implementing a large scale ERP projects in greenfield scenarios.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
- Responsible for the successful delivery of project(s), ensuring the appropriate level of governance is applied throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead multi-disciplinary project teams, comprising business SME's, IT resources and 3rd party vendors, ensuring alignment to desired project outcomes.
- Manage changes to scope, time and quality ensuring outcomes remain deliverable and in focus.
Own projects from inception through to successful delivery - supporting creation of business cases, forming the project team, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly established, agree scope and deadlines, create and maintain the stakeholder plan and implement quality control measures. - As a member of the IT leadership group, lead improvements in Project delivery and best practice,
- Chair Project status meetings, drive agenda for Project Boards and lead where required.
- Create, maintain and regularly review/share project plans with key stakeholders whilst managing deliverables with cross-functional teams, ensuring successful delivery to time, cost and quality
- Project risk management & mitigation & Project health reviews
- Track project progress and manage relevant project budgets.
Manage the coordination, delegation and overall workflow of project work packages, creating a well-structured and professional project environment - Manage and participate in the production of functional and technical specifications; unit and integration testing; Go-Live planning and support; maintenance of project risk and issue logs
- Act as the liaison between business functions, technology & 3rd party teams.
- Ensure the communication needs of stakeholders are identified and met
- Undertake post-delivery reviews in conjunction with key stakeholders
- Provide effective leadership to the project team ensuring that team members are motivated and developing their skills and experience.
- Model best practice in project management, whilst maintaining a pragmatic & outcome focused approach.
- Identify and manage technology dependencies and critical path within projects.
- Support translation of business requirements into actionable project deliveries.
- Where required, support the sponsors and project managers of complex (eg multi-site) projects to ensure success
- Apply project execution disciplines and tools consistently
- Maintain communications with sponsors & chairs ensuring awareness of potential roadblocks, risks or challenges
Sounds interesting, what do I need?
- At least 5 years of IT systems Project Management experience
- Experience leading complex ERP transformation projects
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management capabilities at all levels
- Substantial experience working with & managing 3rd party vendors & delivery partners
- PRINCE2, APMP or equivalent Strong business partnering skills & leadership qualities
It would also be great if you had:
- Experience of the FMCG or manufacturing sector
- Knowledge of IFS Cloud deployment
