Energy & Utilities Consulting

Energy & utilities in the UK are going through a transformation journey with the focus on making data-centric Asset Investment decisions, enhanced customer experience (through digital and data enablement), sustainable and reliable infrastructure(green energy driven water treatment, fewer leakages etc.), digitalization of the aging infrastructure, visualization of their disparate decision support systems in a single pane of glass and most importantly disruption from innovative technologies entering the marketplace. Cognizant has engagements with multiple energy & utilities clients in the UK where we are helping them being customer obsessed and lead the transformation initiatives to build new offerings, solutions and innovative business models aligned to the market trends and regulatory commitments.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Lead programme level conversations for shaping and stimulating an end to end optimal solution across the client's business units
• Work closely with client's internal business partners driving business capabilities through technology and process delivery aligned to end customer outcomes
• Establish and maintain relationships with client business partners, product owners to successfully deliver a complex multi business tower programme
• Understand client's pain points per impacted business unit and demonstrate ability to drive transformation solutions
• Lead a team of Project Managers, Dev, Test teams focused in delivering end to end business outcomes across multiple business areas
• Ensure all projects within the programme are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Ensure all programme deliverables and documentation are complete and of high quality
• Manage programme stakeholders; both internal and external
• Assist in the definition of programme scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
• Identify, address and adequately escalate programme/ project risks and issues, in a timely manner
• Oversee and manage Project Managers with regards to their project scope, deliverables and outcomes

Main Requirements

• Proven experience in building senior business relationships and driving change programme delivery; experience with any of the major enterprise systems technology such as SAP, API, Cloud, Customer Journeys would be favorable
• Strong experience in driving business facing consulting and programme management assignments across multiple domains.
• In-depth knowledge of IT Transformational change and delivery ensuring clear stakeholder management with a focus on outcome based deliverables
• Proven experience in continuous demand management and delivery of core enterprise systems, services and programmes - specifically managing risks, service quality, delivery assurance and change delivery across all Business Units
• Proven track record of delivering change programmes based on customer business goals, new business models and disruptive digital technologies; experience in DevSecOps, agile ways of working and multi-disciplinary teams delivery is mandatory
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Strong business acumen and commercial awareness to drive operational efficiencies
• Ideally have proven experience in the Field Services utilities domain. But not mandatory
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills
• Good analytical, design and problem solving skills
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
