Job Title: Project Manager – Construction (Delivery)

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: From £56,000 – depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing a team running several different projects, more specifically SASK and University of Cumbria enabling works
  • Adapting and developing project plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
  • Exercising project initiation, scheduling, reporting and closure
  • Ensuring the project stays within budget constraints
  • Managing a range of different stakeholders’ expectations (both internal and external), including contractors and supply chain
  • Ensuring the highest standards for safety, health and environment (SHE) are maintained

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Project Management experience within a Construction environment
  • Excellent stakeholder management experience at all levels
  • Recognised Project Management qualification (e.g. APMQ or Prince2)

Desirable:

  • NEBOSH qualification, or similar

The Strategic Projects Delivery team:

This is a fast-paced role where you will manage your own workload and have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the work being carried out. You’ll be working on a varied project portfolio in a growing area of the business and will be given an extensive handover. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
