Job Introduction
The Project Manager for Commercial Change will oversee the planning, development and delivery of commercial change within SCS London Tunnels. The role requires leadership, excellent stakeholder management and a strong understanding of commercial and contract principles (NEC) in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will ensure changes are implemented efficiently while aligning with project objectives, contractual obligations and stakeholder expectations.

Role Responsibility
Project Management: Planning and Delivery
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation and progress reports for implementing changes
- Co-ordinate with pan-project multidisciplinary teams to ensure all elements of change are recovered and aligned
- Track and report progress against key milestones
Change Management
- Lead the identification, assessment and implementation of commercial changes arising from Client issued change, design changes and SCS driven change
- Facilitate change control process, ensuring all changes are properly documented, approved and communicated
- Collaborate with the commercial team to negotiate and agree CEs, through to implementation and value/time adjustment
- Ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory obligations.
The Ideal Candidate
Key Skills
- Strong understanding of NEC and commercial principles
- Proven experience of Project managing commercial change aspects of a project
- Excellent project managing skills, including planning, co-ordination and reporting
- Negotiations and Stakeholder management experience
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity surveying or related discipline
- Professional accreditation is desirable (MICE, MRICS, MAPM)
- Proven track record of project managing commercial change on large-scale complex project
About the Company
The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK's new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK's 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services
The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
