Reporting to: Senior Project Manager

Responsible for: Management of Long & Medium Term Contracts post order within the Division

Competence: Ideally significant experience in the Water Industry. Ability to Project Manage a number of Long & Medium term contracts from receipt of order to completion, including products from the Hydro
International Wastewater portfolio. Experience in computerised planning, scheduling and costing of projects is required to demonstrate control of the contracts to meet required deadlines. Good communication skills and interpersonal contact are essential.

Key Duties:

1. Plan and schedule the work content through its various stages of Design Engineering, Manufacture, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Take-over.

2. Control and monitor the financial budget of the "as sold" estimate to maintain or improve the profit margin. Forecast regularly (at least monthly) the out turn of the scope of work with regard to time for completion and the sales/cost of sales for each contract.

3.Take corrective action where it is required to maintain time for completion and recover over expenditure.

4. Retain the position as the person interfacing directly with the client and the Company on all matters which will influence the contractual obligation the Company has with the client.

5. Prepare requisitions and issue purchase orders for the full scope of works within the financial authority levels of the QA Procedures.

6. Agree variations/claims/extensions of time with the client as the contract progresses in line with the contract conditions and approved levels.

7. Raise invoices/applications for payment to be paid by the client.

8. Agree the final account for each contract and secure the issue of all the certification necessary under the contract.

9. Prepare or have prepared all documentation and O & M Manuals called for under the scope of works.

10. Work closely with the Installation and Commissioning personnel to ensure that this phase of the work is adequately resourced to meet the programme of work.

11. Attend regular client meetings and site visits as dictated by specific circumstances

12. Maintain a high level of respect from the client in terms of professional project management and integrity, always projecting a high standard of performance for the Company.

13. Exercise the powers of the Company and its obligations in respect of the current CDM Regulations.

14. Act as the central co-ordinating function of the Company team appointed to execute the contract.

15. Be pro-active in ensuring the Company's engineering function is fully conversant with the specifications that are applicable to the contract, clarify where any doubt exists.

16. Ensure the timely arrangement for all commercial facets of the contract to be in place e.g. insurances/bonds/guarantees/ shipping documents etc.

17. Prepare and negotiate and issue sub-contracts for key elements of the contract e.g. Steel work, electrical control systems, hydraulics etc.

18. To support members of the project team in the delivery of project and tasks.

19. To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act and apply the requirements of ISO45001.

20. To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and 14001 as appropriate within the areas of responsibility.

21. Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
