We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council as a Project Manager/Business Analyst (Waste). This is a two-year fixed term position but has fantastic opportunities to expand your knowledge and experience in delivering a project with many moving parts (literally). It could open many doors for you to expand your career further, and you will also end up with a really good working knowledge of bin collection.

The role:

We are looking for a Project Manager/Business Analyst to manage an interesting project across our Waste services to realise efficiencies and implement business change, delivering to the core programme of our Strategic Plan. Although you will be employed in a central team with plenty of support around you, it is essential that you are able to work independently and may need to be spend some of your time at our depots in Lowestoft and Ufford.

The focus of the role is delivering changes to how our bin collections are undertaken, with a focus on better recycling, this is likely to have digital implications as well as changes from a logistical and people perspective. Decisions have already been taken on what this will look like, now we have to make it happen. This role will be supporting important projects to implement lean and streamlined business processes and ensuring we have a customer focussed design to our delivery of changes to our waste services.

What you will need:

You will have knowledge and experience of delivering business improvement organisation and at least three years proven experience in working in a project management related role.
