About the Griffin Programme
- Schroders & Phoenix have agreed to form a joint venture to establish a new investment management business to manage certain private assets investment solutions focused on the UK;
- The programme aims to establish a joint venture between Schroders and Phoenix to create a solely private asset focussed, FCA authorised AIFM, asset management business;
- There will be two states of operating model: i) Interim Phase; ii) End Phase.The Griffin Programme is now in its final state and
- The Project Manager / Business Analyst will be responsible for delivering key workstreams withing this programme.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end project management for a number of key workstreams within the End Phase, including Operational Model implementation, Governance, AIFM Application co-ordination. This will include scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery;
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery;
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including investment teams, compliance, risk management, and technology;
- Identify risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate where necessary.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and up-to-date;
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions with key stakeholders to define governance frameworks and operating model needs;
- Analyze current-state processes, identify gaps, and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance;
- Develop future-state target operating models, including organizational design, process workflows, and technology enablement;
- Prepare detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process maps;
- Collaborate with technology teams to ensure alignment of systems and tools with governance and operating model goals;
- Design and implement governance frameworks tailored to private assets, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices;
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and risk teams to define roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structures and
- Monitor adherence to governance structures and recommend improvements as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a liaison between business units, senior leadership, and external partners to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables;
- Communicate project progress and updates through regular reporting and presentations and
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to ensure stakeholder buy-in and adoption of governance frameworks and operating models.
Performance Metrics and Reporting
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of governance frameworks and operating models and
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track project progress and outcomes.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA or relevant certification preferred);
- Proven experience as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst in private assets, financial services, or a related industry;
- Strong understanding of private assets (e.g., private equity, real estate, infrastructure) and their operational and governance requirements;
- Demonstrated experience in governance framework development and target operating model design;
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA) and business analysis tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart);
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and
- Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or CBAP are a plus.
