Experience required...
Essential:
- Detailed knowledge of the aviation sector, including experience working with airports, operators, aerospace, or aviation infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex aviation projects from conception to completion. This includes overseeing budgets, timelines, and resources to deliver successful outcomes.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations and safety standards (e.g., CAA, EASA). Compliance with these standards is crucial for ensuring project safety and legality.
- A solid grasp of aviation-specific technologies, infrastructure, and operations, such as airside/landside development, runway/taxiway construction, hangar development, or airport terminal projects.
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies, airport authorities, contractors, engineers, and government groups.
- Expertise in identifying and mitigating risks associated with aviation projects, ensuring that projects remain within legal and safety requirements for health and safety.
- Experience in negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers and in managing procurement processes for critical materials and plant.
- Strong leadership skills in guiding multidisciplinary teams, ensuring project milestones are met and conflicts are resolved quickly.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in Project or Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- APM PMQ, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to keep up to date with developing standards in aviation safety, security and construction.
