The role
Our Project Managers play a central role within the Asset Management division, leading and delivering a diverse range of complex, multi faceted projects involving multiple stakeholders. Working closely with survey and delivery leads, you will take full ownership of projects from sales handover through to successful delivery, ensuring programmes are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and quality standards.
This role would suit an experienced and commercially aware project professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple projects simultaneously, and can confidently build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects from sales handover through to delivery, taking ownership of programme management, risk management, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
- Develop detailed project plans, resource plans, revenue forecasts, cost forecasts, and risk registers for each project.
- Facilitate effective project handovers from the sales team, ensuring all agreed project requirements are clearly understood internally and externally.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each receives the appropriate level of oversight and attention.
- Monitor project progress proactively, identifying risks to programme delivery and implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Act as the primary client contact, maintaining regular communication, providing progress updates, conducting site visits, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead stakeholder communication across clients, subcontractors, survey teams, and internal business groups.
- Manage project change control processes, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and programme dates, resources, and financial forecasts are updated accordingly.
- Oversee commercial and financial performance, ensuring projects meet productivity, revenue, and budget expectations.
- Assess and manage project risks with particular attention to health and safety considerations.
- Work collaboratively with Survey Leads and Business Groups to support operational improvements and contribute to the future direction of project delivery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across project management processes, systems, and team capability.
You will have
- Strong financial and commercial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
- A proactive, positive, and agile approach to problem-solving and dispute resolution.
- Experience leading project teams and motivating colleagues to achieve successful outcomes.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
- A project management qualification such as APM, ILM, PMI, RICS PM, or equivalent is desirable.
- Knowledge and understanding of surveying, geospatial technologies, or related industries is desirable.
- Understanding of client contracts and commercial project delivery is desirable.
- Experience reviewing technical quotations and tender submissions is desirable.
- Experience managing projects under NEC contracts is desirable.
