About the opportunity:We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and experienced Project Manager to drive success in our Concrete business across Perth and the region. You will provide a key contact for Holcim clients - ensuring delivery of client project contracts and requirements, whilst ensuring positive and mutually beneficial relationships throughout the course of the projects.You will focus strongly on ensuring Holcim are best positioned to meet our contractual commitments and obligations to assigned projects - identifying and managing logistical elements of supply and delivery, whilst proactively resolving any issues.You will also be responsible for the safe mobilisation, supply and operation of concrete supply contracts that incorporate the use of fixed plant and mobile batch plants in the region.Further and detailed accountabilities are found in the Position Description which is available upon request and will include:Being a role model for safety.Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the SHE Management System.Management via financial delegation for project expenses and personnel costs.Managing R&M expenditure.On site management of all client relations and planning requirements/needs.Supporting the sales function and playing a key role in the tender review process for all relevant opportunities.Ensuring that the customer maintains compliance with the terms in the relevant agreement.Effective day to day supervision of reports and contractors.Provision of constant honest feedback on performance.Ensuring forecasts, stock levels and KPIs managed in conjunction with the appropriate production staff.About you: To succeed in this key role, tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management or related disciplines are preferred and you should demonstrate credible experience in projects ideally within related industry sectors. Sound knowledge of concrete products and hands-on experience in a concrete plant will be especially valued as will commercial experience servicing large civil contractors or the equivalent.You will also require credible experience with financial oversight, monitoring and control of project related costs and your leadership skills and ability to effectively supervise day to day operations of supervision of staff and contractors will be a key strength.You will have a strong commitment to customer needs, safety and quality and a commitment to ensuring a safe work environment is maintained with a focus on ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
