Job Description
Are you a skilled Project Manager with a passion for managing projects to meet identified business needs? Legal & General is seeking a talented individual to join our IT & Change Management team within our Group Functions division. In this role, you will take end-to-end responsibility for project delivery, establishing and maintaining the correct structures for control and monitoring. What you'll be doing:
- Leading the delivery of projects in the within the Group Functions Change Portfolio, taking end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of a business function portfolio and/or significant programme
- Establishing and maintaining the correct structures to control and monitor all deliverables, as defined in the Business Case
- Leading project planning, scheduling, controlling, and reporting activities, ensuring comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained
- Delivering effective communication to all stakeholders to support decision-making and manage the smooth and integrated delivery of projects
- Managing third-party relationships, ensuring dependencies are identified and managed, and deliverables are achieved without incurring unnecessary cost or delay
- Determining, monitoring, and reviewing all project economics, including costs, staffing requirements, project resources, and project risk
- Ensuring project control procedures are in place and actively used to assess risks, issues, assumptions, and changes on costs, timescale, and/or resource needs
- Demonstrating compliance with agreed methodology, standards, policies, and procedures to ensure strong governance and adherence to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
Qualifications
Who we're looking for:
- Demonstrated project management and delivery experience
- Ideally degree-level educated with a professional qualification in project management, such as APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ), PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, or Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Change Management, Agile, or SAFe qualification is desired
- Knowledge of principles, methods, techniques, and tools required for effective project management in a portfolio management environment
- Understanding of delivering projects to time, cost, and quality using tailored project methodologies
- Experience in translating analysis and solutions into practical implementation, facilitation, running workshops, and leading Steering Committees
- Proven experience of delivering projects to time, cost, and quality
- Resource, stakeholder, and matrix people management experience with well-developed communication, planning, and organizing skills
