Description

As Project Manager at Bede, you'll be key in the successful delivery of business initiatives, working closely with our teams and customers across the globe to enable this to happen. As a project expert, you'll be able to bring your ideas to the table and have the opportunity to really put your stamp on things.

This is a hybrid role that requires you to be in our Newcastle-upon-Tyne office two days a week. Please apply only if you're comfortable with this arrangement.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage projects end to end, ensuring we meet our client's expectations by delivering projects on time, on budget and to the highest quality.
  • Actively maintain project plans, milestones and deliverables.
  • You will be the primary point of contact for clients surrounding the coordination of tasks related to the successful delivery of development.
  • Monitor and report on project status, clearly communicating with key stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage risk - including reporting and following accurate escalation paths.
  • Work closely with PMO leadership to define and implement governance standards across the portfolio.
  • Ensure that all cross-functional and complex business initiatives are planned, monitored, and tracked from requirements scoping until post-go-live support.
  • Coordinate and conduct post-implementation retrospectives and identify lessons learned, feeding carry-forward items into the programme plan.
  • Any other required duties that are deemed reasonable to the role.

What we are looking for

  • Proven track record in a software development environment with end-to-end project lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Baseline understanding of Jira, MS365 and Google Suite.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to identify and articulate project requirements.
  • A critical thinker with amazing organisational skills and self-sufficiency.
  • The capability to motivate yourself and peers.
  • Any experience in Lean and Kanban principles would be an advantage.
  • Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations.
  • SCRUM qualifications would also be an advantage
